Starter Set Privacy Policy

Starter Set is made by Elco Dev ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your workouts stay on your phone, we don't run accounts, ads or tracking, and the only thing we learn is anonymous usage counts you can switch off.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter or create in Starter Set is stored only on your device: your name or nickname, goals, schedule, equipment, sore spots, workout history, weights and progress. We never receive it. Deleting the app, or using You › Start over, removes it.

Camera coach

If you use the camera coach, the camera image is analysed on your phone to find body positions, count reps and suggest form cues. Video and images are never recorded, saved or uploaded. You can turn camera access off at any time in your phone's settings.

On-device AI

On supported phones, coaching messages are written by an AI model that runs on the device (Apple Intelligence on iPhone, Gemini Nano on Android). What you ask it and your workout details are processed on your phone and are not sent to us.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to confirm what you've bought. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated ID for your install, your purchase and subscription history, your country and the app version. It does not receive your name, email or workout data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

We never see your payment details.

Apple Health and Health Connect

If you choose to connect Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), Starter Set reads your heart rate, steps, active calories, distance and blood oxygen for the time of each workout, so it can show them on the workout summary. This is read-only: Starter Set never writes to Health. The data is read on your phone when you view a summary and is not stored by the app, sent to us, shared with anyone, used for advertising or included in the usage statistics. You can disconnect in You › Health at any time, or change access in the Health app or Health Connect settings.

Anonymous usage statistics

To improve the app, Starter Set sends us anonymous usage events, such as "finished onboarding", "opened the paywall", "completed a 25-minute workout" or "used the camera coach", together with the app version, platform (iOS or Android), the day, and a random ID created on your phone. It never includes your name, the reasons you wrote, your workout contents, any health data, your location, contacts or any device identifier. The random ID isn't linked to your purchases or anything outside the app, and we don't use it to track you across apps or websites. You can turn this off at any time in You › Privacy › Share anonymous usage stats; Start over also replaces the random ID. The events are stored in Google Cloud Firestore.

Backups

Starter Set is included in your phone's own backups (iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android), so a new phone set up from a backup brings your plan and history along. Those backups are stored in your Apple or Google account under their terms; we never see them.

You can also save a backup file from You › Your data › Back up now. The file contains your plan, workouts, equipment and a few app settings (never purchases or health data), and goes wherever you choose to save or send it. It's yours: we don't receive a copy. Anyone you give the file to can read it, so keep it somewhere private.

Notifications

Workout and trial reminders are scheduled on your phone. No notification data is sent to us.

What we don't do

• No accounts or sign-up
• No advertising, ad tracking or selling of data
• No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs
• No sharing of your information with data brokers

Children

Starter Set is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and rights

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly: edit it in the app or delete it with You › Start over or by uninstalling. To delete anonymous usage events, send us the random ID shown under You › Privacy (or just turn stats off). For purchase records held by RevenueCat, or any other privacy question, email hello@elcodev.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
